The holiday-villa I have in mind is situated in the village of Grebastica off the state road D8, 13km away from Sibenik and 72 km from Split . The vicinity of the Split airport 42km and the Zadar-Zemunik airport 85km, as well as the future motorway, makes Grebastica a very attractive location in the Middle Dalmatia.Grebastica is made of several small villages situated in a gorgeous bay of the Sibenik archipelago.The holiday-villa is situated in the central village of Banovci, Donja Grebastica, where all the necessities are the beach, the store, the market, tourist office, exchange office,The villa is about 50m away from the sea, the beach or the market. It contains a parking – lot, and a garden of about 150m2. First two-rooms flat on the ground floor 80m2, two single-room apartmens 40m2 each on the first floor and a two-rooms flat in the attic (80m2) each having a separate entrance, are available for rent.The surrounding garden occupies over 150m2 of land, and there are a communal barbecue, a shower a swing and so on.Grebastica becomes more and more important tourist destination with each year. It is a picturesque village 15km far from Sibenik, situated alongside the Adriatic touris road, in the deep bay of Ostrica peninsula, was first mentioned as early as in 1298 as Grebac. During the Roman times here was a settlement and some rests testify its existence like some buildings and a stone lid of the Roman sarcophagus found in the local raveyardclosetothe St.Peter and St.Mary's church. Near the peninsula Ostrica the rests of the St.Spirit's church from 1669 were found. But the most mpressive monument of this area is the stone wall ith the gun holes in it built in 1497. It is 6-9m high and 60-80cm wide and it crosses the entire peninsula and its purpose was the protection of the almatian specialities and the accomodation is offered in comfortable amily houses, private rooms, apartments and the camp sites.
